Brings an item to a person. “Accio broomstick”
Alohomora - unlocking spell
It is effctive on doors, windows and pad locks, anything that unlocks with a key.
Aparecium - visiblility spell
Makes invisible things reappear again.
Avada Kedavra - Killing Curse
The worst of the three Unforgivable Curses.
Avis - wand spell
A spell that releases a small flock of birds from the end of a wand.
Crucio - torturing curse
The Cruciatus Curse inflicts severe pain upon the victim. Another of the three Unforgivable Curses.
Confundus - memory wipe
Totally confuses a person's mind causing them to lose their memory.
Deletrius - counter spell
Erases the effects of a spell.
Diffindo - opening spell
Causes something to tear open or apart, usually violently.
Dissendium - opening spell
Opens a passageway or tunnel that is blocked with something.
Engorgio - enlarging spell
Causes something to grow to huge proportions.
Ennervate - awakening spell
Causes an unconscious person to awaken.
Expecto Patronum - shield spell
Shield-like concentration of energy that protects a wizard from dementors.
Expelliarmus - disarming spell
Dislodges an weapon from another person’s hand.
Finite Incantatem - counter spell
A spell to stop another spell’s effects.
Impedimenta - immobilizing spell
Causes the victim to freeze up completely.
Imperio - controlling spell
Gives total control over the victim. The Imperius curse the least of the three Unforgivable Curses.
Incendio - firestarter spell
Produces flames without fuel for Floo network travel and under cauldrons.
Locomotor mortis - immobilizing spell
Causes a person’s legs to freeze up, also known as the "Leg-lock" spell
Lumos - light spell
Causes the end of a magic wand to light up.
Mobilicorpus- mobilizing spell
Makes things float and easily move through the air.
Morsmordre - conjuring spell
Produces a large airborne symbol of the Dark Wizards loyal to Lord Voldemort.
Nox - un-light spell
Causes the end of a magic wand to quit glowing.
Obliviate - obliteration spell
Throws a bomb-like force at the victim.
Orchideus - wand spell
Causes a bouquet of flowers to come out of the end of a wand.
Petrificus Totalis - immobilizing spell
Causes the victim to become totally immobile and rigid. Also known as the "Full Body Bind" spell.
Point me - direction finder
Turns a magic wand into a compass pointing towards the object you are looking for.
Prior Incantatus - replay spell
When applied to a magic wand, it will replay the most recent spell that was cast by that wand.
Quietus - reversal spell
Returns the voice to normal after using the Sonorus spell.
Reducio - reversal spell
Returns something to normal after using the Engorgio spell.
Reparo - repairing spell
fixes something that is broken, like eye glasses.
Riddikulus - transfiguration spell
Makes an item or creature look totally silly. A great spell for defeating a boggart.
Serpensortia - wand spell
Produces a snake from the end of a magic wand.
Sonorus - amplifying spell
Makes the voice become extremely loud as if from loudspeakers.
Stupefy - stunning spell
Knocks out and immobilizes the victim.
Tarantallegra - mobilizing spell
A dancing spell that causes the victim to perform a rapid quickstep.
Wingardium Leviosa - levitation spell
Causes objects to levitate.
